Breakaway team formed from the Coos Bay Chickens who were having too much fun to keep being mistaken for Crims. So, they had a ritual burning of their chicken costumes and headed 214 miles away to the ruins of Camp Sherman where they hope to build a whole new city and a legacy of their own.

One of Oregon’s smallest cities, at the last headcount, we made it 23 people who live in Camp Sherm- no, make that 22, someone just left.

They may be small in number and on very friendly terms with the local Bigfoot community who live in the neighbouring forest and have even sent players to represent the team, but that doesn’t mean the Cryptids are any less passionate about their Weirdball.

In 3058, Mount Sherman erupted, destroying much of the city. The Cryptids took the news remarkably well. “I guess that’s on us for building our city right next to a volcano…” said the mayor with a smile and a shrug.

In 3059, the Cryptids moved their stadium to the volcano caldera to house their growing fanbase (now 28 people, a remarkable 22% rise).

Despite their admirable efforts, the ownership of the Cryptids passed from Twist to Uncle Dave, the famous potato baron of Camp Sherman. And we use the term ‘famous’ very loosely.
